Suicide Is Not An Option

One of my spiritual father’s in the Lord shared a testimony of how he lost a whopping sum of £50,000 in 1992. He decided to take a walk and as he was walking he was praying to God. Walking along River Thames bridge was a very good idea. While he was walking along the road, the devil urged him to jump into the river. He said, that the devil told him after all these years what do you have to show for and you say you are serving God……..hmmm. Is it not the same thing most of us hear whenever we face trials, disappointments, betrayal, and unfavorable situations? Well, I want to let you know that you don’t have to give up trusting in God because I believe those situations are just bus stops in your life that bring you back to reality check in knowing who your true friends are and better ways to continue on your journey. As I was going through the Scriptures

Psalm 37, I came to verses 23 that says,

“The Lord directs the steps of the godly.

He delights in every detail of their lives.

24) Though they stumble, they will never fall,

for the Lord holds them by the hand.

28) For the Lord loves justice, and he will never abandon the godly.” (NLT Version)

I want to ask you if he the Pastor had committed suicide by jumping into the river would he had shared the testimony and would he have affected lives positively including mine as well? Aaahaaa! Got you there!!!! I just want to let you know that as long as there’s life there must be challenges and that does not mean the end of the world rather the challenges brings out the best in you, and tomorrow you shall be counselling or directing another person who may be going through the same road that you went through in life. God always and will keep directing those who have made Him the anchor of their lives. Don’t get too busy for God or call Him only when you are in trouble, He wants to be responsible for your life as long as you trust Him and don’t fret. Look below at the Scriptural verse of Psalm 23, you will agree with me that no matter the challenge you are going through God is with you. Read Psalm 23

vs 4 which says, “

Even when I walk

through the darkest valley,

I will not be afraid,

for You (God) are close beside me.

Your rod and your staff

protect and comfort me.” (NLT Version)

I want to believe that 100% of all that have succeeded in life today have come to the point of giving up or quitting yet they never did. That’s the difference between successful people and those that fail. I challenge you today that no matter what the problem is God is capable of pulling you out of them all. He (God) did it for my beloved Pastor so shall He do for you as long as you keep trusting Him. Even though you feel that nobody loves you, I want to let you know that Jesus still loves you. You don’t have to take your life because you are as important as the President or Prime minister of your country or the greatest man of God you hear on the television.
